The Great Slave Cruising Club and the NWT Council of Persons with Disabilities invite members of the public to be part of the 19th Annual Ability Cup & BBQ. The Ability Cup is a fundraiser for the NWT Council of Persons with Disabilities. The Ability Cup is awarded to the sailboat that raises the most money for the Council while plaques are awarded to the fastest keelboat and the fastest dinghy (keel-less sailboat). At the event, you can learn about sailing, listen to great local musicians, support a good cause, enjoy a fundraising BBQ, watch the sailing race, even be in the race! The race starts at 1 pm, the music line-up is: 1:00 - 1:45 - Jim Taylor 2:00 - 2:45 - Joanne Stassen, Jonathan Churcher & Friends - "The Ad Hawks" 2:45 - 3:00 - Timothy Henderson & Friends - Youth Fiddle Ensemble 3:00 - 3:15 - Race Prizes & Announcements 3:15 - 3:45 - "Local Smoke" Bluegrass Ensemble 4:00 - 4:30 - James Boraski & MomentaryEvolution
